Myth busting volunteering with Short Back & Sidewalks

We get some common questions about volunteering with Short Back & Sidewalks, so we're here to myth bust a few questions we've heard about volunteering with us.

Myth #1 -- We only want barbers.
Incorrect! If you are trained to cut hair, we'd love you to volunteer with us, hairdressers and barbers alike.

Myth #2 -- I need lots of time to volunteer.
Incorrect! You can volunteer as little as two hours per month with us if that's all the time you have!

Myth #3 -- We cut hair on the streets.
Incorrect! We work with qualified service providers and in spaces that are safe for both our volunteers and the people having their hair cut.

Myth #4 -- You have to volunteer during work hours
Incorrect! We operate events during times that are most convenient to our volunteers, outside of peak business hours and most frequently when volunteers have their days off.
