Short Back and Sidewalks (SBSW) has been supported by Business Events Perth to deliver a new service at St Bart’s House Lime Street for 12 months.

This service will have a positive impact on the lives of over 600 Australians in need.

“The introduction of a regular event will provide the residents of Lime Street with a service they can rely on and look forward to,” said SBSW founder and CEO Craig Hollywood.

Business Events Perth is proud to play a part in giving haircuts and creating positive connections at Lime Street.

“We are pleased to support the work Short Back & Sidewalks do in creating positive connections through conversations with those who need it most,” said Business Events Perth CEO Gareth Martin.

“Having had Craig present as a Keynote Speaker at a number of our events, it was apparent that our organisations shared a synergy in bringing people together to form meaningful connections and inspire positive social change.”

This support will have an immediate frontline impact on members of the community experiencing homelessness as SBSW moves towards achieving its goal of 15,000 free haircuts a year by 2025.

“The regular conversations at the new Lime Street service will build stronger and deeper positive connections with those in need,” said Craig.

“Ultimately, over the long term, this will support and empower vulnerable Australians on their path home.

“We are all part of the conversation and we thank Business Events Perth for helping us break the stigma attached to members of the community in need, together as one.”

The Lime Street service began monthly, with the aim to increase to fortnightly with additional haircutters coming onboard through our new partnership arrangement with global hair care movement Evo.
