In our Meet the team series, we profile our Short Back & Sidewalks volunteers and talk to them about their experiences volunteering with us.

Hi Guys - Lisa Chapman here!

I’m a volunteer Hairstylist and just wanted to introduce myself and have a chat regarding SBSW.

I’ve been involved for a few years now and it has been the most amazing journey so far!

I was beyond nervous the first time - I had no clue what to expect but within minutes of arriving and starting I knew I’d made the best decision.

All the people we’re dealing with are so thankful of having someone care and want to help them improve their appearance and instill some confidence back into their lives. They are refreshing and real and a pleasure to be around.

All of the team are the most gorgeous souls and we enjoy hanging out at the events and even have catch ups at other times which is so fun.

A tiny bit of our time can make a huge difference on the whole and I feel truly blessed to be part of this growing community.

Can’t wait to see some more newbies at upcoming events and look forward to meeting you all!
