Meet the team: Ryan Knowles

 

In our Meet the team series, we profile our Short Back & Sidewalks volunteers and talk to them about their experiences volunteering with us.

Hey Short Back & Sidewalks fam,

I'm Ryan and I commenced volunteering at SBSW in November / December last year. Currently I am more involved in 'back office' projects but I did have the privilege of co-facilitating a Moore Street event with the legends in the piccy with me.

It was truly amazing to see how something as simple as a haircut, warm smile and an easy conversation can brighten someone's day. My eyes were really opened on that day, I knew something good was happening. And I got to be a part of it.

While I cannot cut hair (or have hair), I am pretty good with a clipboard and managing a list. I am very much looking forward facilitating more events and getting to meet more of the SBSW family.
